About the Author

Hi, I’m Nate, the voice behind MyEVBlog.com. I live on the North Shore of Massachusetts with my wife and child, and my hobbies include retro tech, vacationing in St. Lawrence County in New York, tinkering with cars, and tackling various home projects. My career is in enterprise IT networking and telecommunications, but this blog is part of my retro hobby. I’ve always wanted to consistently write a blog like it’s 2005, and now I finally am.

Over the years, I’ve owned Chevrolets, Minis, BMWs, Chryslers, and Toyotas, but my personal favorites have been the PT Cruiser and the Chevy Spark. The Bolt is my latest chapter. Let’s see how it compares.

This site is my way of sharing what I’ve learned about EV ownership: tips, real-world charging experiences, cost breakdowns, and even some deep dives into EV history (including the GM EV1). I am an enthusiast who believes that good information makes EV ownership less intimidating and more fun.

Fun Facts

  • Favorite decade: 1995–2005 — the golden age of tech in my eyes.

  • Most memorable road trip: Driving my 2003 Chevy Cavalier from the North Shore to Washington, D.C., with my wife before we were married. It was my first time that far south, and I had just bought my first iPhone only a few days earlier. I spent the trip experimenting with mobile photography for the very first time. We visited monuments, the zoo, walked around DC, and spent time in the hotel pool.
